Right in the middle of the year 2011, when those we voted to be the leaders of our precious Civilized World drag us into a state of Permanent War by invoking Peace; when the bosses within the United Nations can decide who dies under depleted uranium bomb attacks by invoking Humanitarian reasons; when all of this is continuously being fed to us by mass media carrying only the Word and Understanding of the Powerful about who we must hate and who we should accept or tolerate.
Then we should realize we are right in the middle of our own creation.
Laberinto’s first video clip “The world you are making” (song from their first EP “Laberinto”, 1995) shows images of their 4 day-long trip to their second international show, this time in Budapest, Hungary, in front of 15,000 people.
Gregorio: ‘we used to drive in an old firehouse truck that couldn’t go above 100 kph. Those trips were endless, but is was always very funny to see how people looked at us everywhere we arrived, specially on big festivals.’
Marco: ‘you would see huge tour busses on the parking lot and among them you would find this red and white firehouse truck right in the middle catching everybody’s eye. Journalists were wondering, “who the hell are those guys?”. They all thought we were very eccentric!’
“The world you are making” is a powerful Metal-latino song with very direct lyrics. It has both the structure and the sound that would be the ground for what Laberinto is today.
