Gregorio was born in Caracas – Venezuela, son of classical guitar player and chef Jose Rangel (R.I.P.) and school teacher Camelia Mercedes Abreu. He is part of LABERINTO since 1994.

After Gregorio turned 16 he started performing in bars and pubs as bass player and singer to help support his family. In 1993 he moved to Europe in search for new musical ground.
Next to being an unmistakeable and unmissable key figure in Laberinto, Gregorio is now a days one of the most wanted session bass players in Amsterdam's music scene.
